1921 CALEGARO SPACE 2021 OPENING
1921 CALEGARO SPACE 2021 – A journey through a century of stories of silver and silversmiths
On Friday 25th October 2019, the opening of the new “1921 Calegaro Space 2021” exhibition space took place at Villa Calegaro in Teolo, the beautiful company headquarter at the foot of the Colli Euganei. Calegaro, a historic silverware company that has been creating handmade and Made in Italy products since 1921, will open an exhibition area that will tell the silver tradition of the family to the visitors.
The first rooms illustrates the long history of the Calegaro family and the company itself, moving on to the production area to admire the artisans at work. This is done to give a face to those who make products with their own hands, a mixture of tradition and experience now approaching its centenary. Today the company stands out for its Made in Italy craftsmanship, which cover a variety of areas: jewellery, tableware, cutlery and design objects.
The “1921 Calegaro Space 2021” exhibition is the result of the MACC project, an initiative funded by the Veneto Region with FSE funds and directed by the Ca’ Foscari University Foundation. Already from the name of the project, “MACC, Manufacturing, Commerce and Culture. Transforming the authenticity of the Veneto territory into a tourist experience”, we understand the objectives of the proposal, namely the enhancement and transformation of the many excellences present in the Veneto region into tourist experiences that deserve to be enjoyed and known by the public.
